Head coach of AllezFencing is Chris Galesloot

Fencer: Chris Galesloot started fencing foil at the age of 8 and became youth champion of the Netherlands in all age-groups and represented The Netherlands on junior world-cups, European Championships, senior world-cups, Senior European and World Championships. Including team titles he became dutch champion 9 times. His best international result is a last 16 on a senior world cup.

Coach: Chris has been coaching since he was 15 years old, and became a full-time professional coach when he moved to England in 2009 after he retired from fencing himself. Besides head coach of AllezFencing he was also the Lead GBR Athlete Development Foil Coach (2017-2022) and currently Master in charge of Fencing at Brentwood School. Pupils trained by him have won titles and medals across International, National and Regional Tournaments and Championships spanning all age categories from youth to university.

The Dutch Period

Chris was as National Dutch Foil Coach present at many junior and senior World Cups, European and World Championships. His best coaching results in this period are with Dutch senior foilist Sebastiaan Borst winning the Leon Paul Satellite A-Grade twice in row and a Quarter-final at the Senior European Championships 2011 in Sheffield.

Lead Foil coach at GBR Athlete Development Programme

Chris has been in this role since July 2017 till September 2022. During this period U17 and U20 GBR fencers that were part of Athlete Development Pathway for Foil have won titles and medals at Under 17 & Under 20 European & World Championships both in individual and team events.

2022 and onwards

Chris is head of Fencing at Brentwood School and Head Coach / club owner of AllezFencing with a dedicated fencing Salle at Brentwood School Sports Centre.

AllezFencing is a multicultural youth performance fencing club, and takes pride in its diversity and international character.

AllezFencing aims to help develop values of sportsmanship, respect, grid, accountability and positive mindset.

At AllezFencing we aim to be the best versions of ourselves by working hard and having a fantastic time doing so!

At Allez we train and compete at national and international level and through the fantastic sport of fencing we aim to build young fencers into athletes who are respectful, think for themselves, are hardworking and dedicated.
